We will be meeting at the Annville Rutter’s (on Rt 422). We shall be departing precisely at 1 PM for a ride over to Lenhartsville where we will have dinner at Deitsch Eck. (Dutch corner).
This is a wonderful PA Dutch restaurant. Well, I hope that my fellow zoomers agree! Starting in Annville, we will skirt Fort Indiantown Gap, find our way over Gold Mine Road, then head down to Pine Grove where we will head east on Rt 895 towards Deer Lake.
We will be stopping at the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary for a leg stretch, pee break, and a look-see at the visitor center. We will not be going on any trails. If anyone is interested, we can go for a hike later!
I was unable to find ice cream along the route, but the pies at Deistch Eck are fabulous!
We have room for 25 PACErs as the restaurant is limited to the size of a crowd they can accommodate.
We will be getting a family-style PA Dutch dinner.
The cost for dinner has yet to be determined, as I just reached out to the chef earlier today.
We will not be accepting any late additions, as the chef needs to know how many hungry people he has to feed!
RSVP required by Tuesday, 10 Sep by 11:59 PM. Chef needs info first thing Wednesday morning.
