Harvey S. Ladew (1887-1986) was a traveler, artist, fox hunter, and self-taught gardener.  Inspired by the gardens he visited in England, Mr. Ladew created what many consider one of the finest topiary gardens in the US.

Meet at Rutter’s, 14 West Pennsylvania Ave, Stewartstown, PA.  Plan to arrive by 10:00 am.  We will depart at 10:30 am for a brief drive to Ladew Gardens.

During our visit you may choose your own itinerary.  Explore the gardens, tour the manor house, have lunch in the café, and/or enjoy the nature walk.

Our return drive to Stewartstown will, of course, include an ice cream stop.
