Thursday, July 24 — Poole Forge to Texter Mountain – a Twisty Experience!

Greetings fellow PACErs!

I have come up with another twisty-fun ride in the Lancaster/Berks region of our Commonwealth.

Starting at the township-owned Historic Poole Forge Park, we will find our way south for a wee-bit before we head north towards Berks County.

I have yet to make the run myself – planning on a busy couple of weeks upcoming! – but the Google Maps views look really enticing!

After heading north out of Lancaster, we shall find ourselves in the Texter Mountain area, exploring many of the twists and turns on that mountain. Eventually, we shall find our way onto US Rt 422 (BOO HISS) for one good reason – a late lunch at The Country Fare Restaurant.

The only real issue I see so far is – THE LACK OF POTTY BREAKS!

As the drive is only 56 miles in length, I hope that this is not an issue, but I will be looking for a fix or two along the way as I do my pre-runs.

Check the Miata’s oil. Gas ‘er up. Set your tire pressures! ‘Cause we will be having fun on Thursday, 24 July 2025.
