PACE Christmas Party & Picnic

The club has reserved the Hilltop Pavilion at Sam Lewis State Park for July 24th. The park is open from dawn to dusk, for those who care to come early. Save the Date for our ‘Christmas in July’ picnic!  Parking is in the first lot after entering the park.  The picnic pavilion is on the top of the hill to the left.

We will dine on chicken, coleslaw and potato salad from the Wrightsville Inn. Utensils, napkins, water and iced tea will be provided.

**Anyone interested in ice cream after the picnic, Mac’s homemade is only a couple of miles from the park.**

Don’t put those Christmas decorations in the attic just yet. We can use them in July to decorate the picnic grove!

Notice of Officer Elections

Officer positions are held for a two year period (Please read the PACE by-laws here). Normally officer elections are held during the annual kickoff meeting. This year there will be no meeting due to COVID so elections will be held during the summer picnic. Here are the officer positions up for election this year.:

Secretary–currently Mike Cory (Mike is willing to stay on as Secretary)

Treasurer–currently Sue Stauffer (Sue is willing to stay on as Treasurer)

Events Coordinator–currently Carol Piersol (Carol is willing to say on as Events Coordinator)

Webpage Coordinator— Bill Joyce is stepping up to manage the webpage. He is willing to stay on as Webpage Coordinator.

Any member, in good standing, can submit their name for these positions to be voted on by those in attendance at the meeting. So please, submit your name to Joe and Sandy Golesh at j_sgolesh@hotmail.com by July 10th if you are interested.

We are also looking for 2 members (or 1 couple) to volunteer to serve the club in the position of ‘Member at Large’. In this position you act as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the club, adding an extra layer of club member’s involvement and creativity.  The Rimmlers have agreed to continue for now.
